Before we were a name people trust, we were a small idea with a big belief: that the right support, at the right moment, can change the shape of a life. That belief is still the whole company.
The beginning
On 29 August 1983, Bahrain Commercial Facilities Company, now known as BCFC, opened its doors as one of the country's first specialist finance companies. There were no branches on every corner, no app in every pocket. There was a handful of people, a building rising out of the sand, and a promise to do one thing properly: help people in Bahrain reach moments that matter.
It started with a building and a belief.
Bahrain in the early eighties was a country in a hurry to grow - and growth needs financing that trusts people before they've proven themselves. That was the gap BCFC was built to fill: short, medium and long-term finance for Bahraini society.
Established under Bahrain's Commercial Companies Law as a closed company, we set out with a single specialist purpose.

Our logo isn't just a geometric shape - it's our name, written in triangles. Four Arabic letters, each in blue, crowned with red dots.

The company is born
Bahrain Commercial Facilities Company is founded as one of the country's first specialist finance companies.

Into automotive
National Motor Company (NMC) is established, bringing world-leading car brands to Bahrain and pairing them with finance under one roof.

1993
A public company
The company becomes a public shareholding company and moves into its landmark home in Isa Town, a signal of scale and of permanence.

1997
Protection, added
Tas'heelat Insurance Services (TISCO) is founded, so customers can protect the very things we help them finance.

2002
Into real estate
Tas'heelat Real Estate Services is established - helping Bahrainis find, value and finance property, not just borrow against it.

2005
Regulated for trust
The company becomes licensed and regulated by the Central Bank of Bahrain - a badge of the standards we hold ourselves to.

2015–2017
The group widens
Tas'heelat Automotive and Tas'heelat Car Leasing join the group, broadening choice across new brands, leasing and mobility.

Today
A group Bahrain relies on
Listed on Bahrain Bourse, BCFC spans finance, automotive, insurance and real estate, and the IMTIAZ Mastercard and Sahel app carry the story into a new generation.
